A fully independent, family-owned restaurant in the neighbourhood village of Westbury Park, with a daily changing menu cooked by chef Freddy Bird.
Freddy trained at Ballymaloe before starting his career at The Square, the two-Michelin-star restaurant of Philip Howard, then spent four years at Moro with Sam and Sam Clark.
He returned west to launch the restaurant at Bristol Lido in 2008 to critical acclaim, a finalist in the 2016 Observer Food Monthly Awards, then launched Thames Lido in Reading in 2018.
The restaurant is designed by Nessa Bird, who also created its bespoke crockery and ceramics, all hand-thrown in Freddy's mum's studio.

“For a chef, cooking is about generosity and excitement. A desire to share ingredients that most others can't get hold of. I've never been one for trying to show off skills, I'd rather host the best party.”
Interiors by Nessa Bird, down to the bespoke crockery and ceramics, all hand-thrown in Freddy’s mum’s studio.
